As I reflect on Hosea, I see myself like Gomer at times, being not completely faithful. As Gomer was unfaithful to her husband, I see myself being unfaithful to God when I don’t take the time to read his message and be a disciple. I have read the Message and been a disciple, but I find myself busy with life things which make me stray away at times from His Message and can get easily caught up with life’s temptations.
If people stray away too far, misfortune can occur, like in Hosea. But like in Hosea, God’s love and mercy will always be there to forgive us.
I find myself asking “Am I running my life or is it running me”. With that said though, we can still run our lives and still be not completely faithful to God. My prayer is that I can run my life according to God’s plan, not my plan. I am thankful for starting this reading and look forward in God’s plan for me!

BlessingS! This is powerful stuff. I too find myself as Gomer sometimes. I have cried reading Chapter 11. God will NEVER STOP LOVING ME and PURSUING ME.
